It’s back again, that awkward time of year has arrived. You’re desperate to wear your summer faves for just a few more weeks, but the weather has other plans. Pull on your cute summer dress and FREEZE. But wrap up warm in cosy layers, just to be sweaty and uncomfortable come lunch time (the BEST time of day). You literally cannot win!
After a few awkward weeks of disbelief that summer is already over and over compensating for a little chill in the air, I’ve finally nailed the perfect layered up combos to keep me just the right temperature! Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll still manage to find something to complain about though…
So it’s nothing dynamic or state of the art, but if you remotely care about how I’m styling up my summer faves, then read on.
I lived in this little gingham number from Topshop all summer, so I wasn’t quite ready to let it go just yet. Simple solution? Team it with a polo neck, baker boy hat and chunky boots.
As much as I love summer, I think I’ll always prefer winter. Come autumn I get a little giddy at the thought of wrapping up warm again. There’s nothing better than feeling like a big fluffy ball of candyfloss in a faux fur jacket.
Big boots > Strappy Sandals. Always. Although I’ll certainly be missing my mules, I’m glad to be back in boots and no longer squeezing my chubby little feet into strappy sandals.
So grab couple of polo necks, a cosy jacket, your best winter boots and your fave summer pieces and you’re good to go!
