The Clashing prints trend: Love it or hate it? Either way, there's no escaping it. I’m not gonna lie, when I first heard about the ‘print clashing’ trend taking off I was ADAMANT it was all kinds of wrong, but the more I played with it, the more obsessed I became!
Throw it back to 2012 for a minute, when hipsters took over the world. Remember the days of tye-die & camo obsessed teens (me) donning acid wash denim coated in metal studs? Oh how I wish I could turn back the time…oh wait! Of course camos been back on the scene for a lil while now but tie dye & acid wash are officially BACK! Studs on the other hand, I haven’t seen much of, but although they’re not lining every inch of my Levi dupes these days, they’re something my inner rock chic never got over. Studded boots & bikers for life.
I love you, I love you not, I love you... I’m the first to admit that I’ve always HATED animal print of any kind. I’ve grown up despising the stuff, forever branding it cheap and tacky, swearing I’d never own event a hint of the print! Fast forward to 2019 and half my wardrobe is animal print. OBSESSED would be an understatement. I can’t get enough of it!
January is FINALLY over! On, and now February is too... For once in my life I actually did what I said I would back in Jan & refrained from splurging on silly sale purchases (with the exception of a DREAMY cowboy hat) and managed to rework quite a few of my old, unloved pieces! Making … Continue reading Reworking my wardrobe & avoiding sale splurging…
Anyone else on the verge or completely clearing out their WHOLE wardrobe?! Starting a fresh for the new year? Ready to create the 'new you'? I can’t be alone in feeling the need to have a complete clear out come January 1st, there’s just nothing more therapeutic than a huge wardrobe detox. It's life changing. (Thankfully my new years resolution wasn’t to stop being so dramatic).
I've noticed myself name dropping Primark a LOT recently, I just can't help bragging about my latest AW18 bargains! In fact, I've been braging so much, I thought it deserved its own lil blog post.
EVERYONE knows the primark rule...get it or regret it! If you don't bag the bargain first time round, then you're almost guaranteed never to see it again! So obviously you're contracted to buy every single perfect primark piece the second you see it! I've been doing a lot of that recently, so here we are...a list of my best Primark bags this season, so far...
I don't know about you but I am absolutely OBSESSED with festival fashion. I'm gutted that festival season has come to an end. Festivals are just an excuse to run around muddy fields in THE most extra/colourful/weird clothing combos that would just NEVER be socially acceptable anywhere else! What more could you possibly want?!
How bloomin' awkward is this weather to dress for?! I’ve lost count of the amount of times I've exclaimed this over the past couple of weeks. This terrible transitional periods certainly taking its toll.
One minute I’m freezing, drenched in the dreary Manchester rain, the next thing I’m boiling hot! It’s literally like God is sat in the sky flicking a switch between summer and winter. Where is the chilly autumn weather and crisp crunchy leaves I crave?!
After spending my last blog post rambling on about my boot obsession, and refusal to wear sandals growing up, I thought I'd write a little on my groundbreaking chunky sandal discovery and the fact I actually wear sandals now, because ya know, I'm a mature adult & all that...
Does anyone else HATE summer shoes? Slinky strappy sandals, crisp white trainers & flimsy flip flops are my idea of hell. I’m definitely no summer baby. I LOVE a good festival, but barely there bottoms and strappy floral frills… not so much a summer fave. Give me oversized jumpers and docs any day.
