How bloomin' awkward is this weather to dress for?! I’ve lost count of the amount of times I've exclaimed this over the past couple of weeks. This terrible transitional periods certainly taking its toll. One minute I’m freezing, drenched in the dreary Manchester rain, the next thing I’m boiling hot! It’s literally like God is sat in the sky flicking a switch between summer and winter. Where is the chilly autumn weather and crisp crunchy leaves I crave?!
After spending my last blog post rambling on about my boot obsession, and refusal to wear sandals growing up, I thought I'd write a little on my groundbreaking chunky sandal discovery and the fact I actually wear sandals now, because ya know, I'm a mature adult & all that...
Does anyone else HATE summer shoes? Slinky strappy sandals, crisp white trainers & flimsy flip flops are my idea of hell. I’m definitely no summer baby. I LOVE a good festival, but barely there bottoms and strappy floral frills… not so much a summer fave. Give me oversized jumpers and docs any day.
I don’t know about you, but I love a good blazer. I've never seen anyone wear one badly. Well, maybe my middle school history teacher, who literally wore the same stained cream blazer DAILY, but other than that, they’re ALMOST impossible to wear badly... I was hooked when blazers had a hot minute back in … Continue reading Blazer Lovin’
People always seem to like/compliment the way I’ve decorated my flat (if you’re reading this sniggering because you just said it in a fake way & didn’t actually mean it then I hate you. You’re mean). My fave thing is people complimenting my overly decorated lil home, before quickly reassuring me they’d have done the … Continue reading Making a House a Home on a Basic Budget
I was lucky enough to be treated to an exclusive, super yummy FIVE course meal as part of the Vegetarian Taste Tour at Tampopo last month. Trying out the best dishes from their brand new vegetarian menu was a task I certainly didn't mind taking on.
I’ve finally done it. I’ve caved in and joined the millions of other bloggers and decided to share 10 things you don’t know about me… I’m not very good at sharing personal stuff about me/my life. I mean I'm all for showing off my outfits and food, but when it comes to the real deal, I chicken out. As an attempt at getting better, I thought I’d join in on this lil 'get to know me' trend. Unless you’re my bestie, family or a crazy stalker, then hopefully at least a couple of these will come as a surprise to you!
Rather than boring you all with a step by step guide to all the standard touristy places in Amsterdam, or a diary of my trip, I thought I’d cut to the chase and skip to what we all really care about: Instagram. Ok so disclaimer, every single one of these places involves food. But my life revolves around food and if it looks good, it’s sure to taste good. From brunches to bars, I’ve got you and your insta covered...
The longest month in the world (January) is FINALLY over and to be completely honest, the only good thing to come out of it was my sales buys. I’m not afraid to push through the rails and wrestle people for the last item in my size, contrary to most people, I actually love sales shopping!
So after being bombarded with ‘new year, new me’ blog posts, facebook statuses, inspirational quotes and celeb endorsements advertising the latest fitness routines, health cleanses and positive mind set novels for the past month. I got thinking, is it all real? Usually I feel pretty refreshed, inspired and ready to go in the new year, … Continue reading New Year, Not So New Me?
